Dr. Vidya Mohanram is a highly experienced Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology at MGM Malar Hospital, Adyar, Chennai. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Dr. Vidya has established herself as a leader in anaesthesiology and healthcare management.
She specializes in anaesthesia for renal transplantation, epilepsy surgery including awake craniotomy, paediatric surgery, bariatric surgery, and day surgery. Her expertise also extends to perioperative management of high-risk patients across specialties, implementation of ERAS protocols, improving quality and safety in anaesthesia, and propagation of low-flow anaesthesia.
Dr Vidya is regularly invited to deliver lectures at state and national conferences, CME Programs and webinars.
She is also known for using social media for medical education. She host a weekly series called Marvellous Medicine which has completed over 180 episodes.
