Dr. Somasundaram A is an experienced paediatrician with 18 years of expertise in paediatric medicine. He served as a faculty member at the Institute of Child Health Madras Medical College, for 9 years.

He has a special interest in child development and behavioural issues and has been running a child development centre for the past 7 years. This centre caters to children with special needs and promotes early neurodevelopmental interventions.

Dr. Somasundaram has served in various capacities within the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) at both the state and national levels for the past 13 years, and he is currently the President-elect of IAP Chennai City.

He is a renowned speaker at state and national paediatric and neurodevelopmental conferences and has authored numerous chapters in books and journals.

In 2020, he was awarded the Fellowship by the Indian Academy of Paediatrics and the Dr. Jayaraj Nadar Oration Award by IAPTNSC.

His numerous awards, publications, and presentations further solidify his commitment and excellence in the field.
